A while back my nieces asked me for a theremin. It was the first I heard of such device. A theremin is an electronic musical instrument that is played without touching it. It makes retro space age like noises and tones.
I decided to get them one for their birthday. Eyeing the "open theremin" as a suitable candidate I set out to buy one. At the time, they were all out of stock so I figured I could make it myself from the open source plans. This video is my journey in ordering the PCB's and all the components in the bill of materials and putting the theremin together myself.
