The role of comprehensible input in promoting foreign language learning/acquisition is well established. When I began my polyglot journey 50 years ago, I made extensive use of dual language books. They remain an excellent source of comprehensible input at any level, from beginner to advanced. Thus, I decided to create dual language books of my memoir A Life in 30 Languages in dozens of languages to provide greater benefits to language learners beyond what can be gained from reading about my lifelong language-learning journey. The presentation will include a discussion of how to structure dual language books to optimize their usefulness and various learning strategies tailored to your level in the target languages.
