Open MINI! Learn in this video how to use your MINI's integrated vehicle key. Your integrated key can unlock and lock your MINI’s driver’s door if the vehicle key won’t work. Hidden treasure: first remove the integrated key from the vehicle key. Just press the button and pull it out at the same time. Turn to the driver’s door. Push the integrated key from underneath into the opening as far as it goes and remove the cover. Now you can unlock or lock the door with the integrated key. Careful! Make sure to pull out the integrated key before pulling on the door handle. Otherwise the paint could take damage. When available, the alarm system is triggered if the car has been unlocked using the door lock. Hold the vehicle key at the steering column and press the start stop button to stop the alarm. For the other doors use the central locking buttons in the driver’s door. When your MINI is locked with the central locking button or the integrated key, the alarm system is not triggered. Always mobile. Depending on model and equipment, you can also open or close your connected MINI in the MINI app.
On some national-market versions, it is not possible to unlock the vehicle from the inside if it has been locked from the outside. There is a risk of injury or danger to life if persons remain in the vehicle for extended periods and are exposed to extreme temperatures as a result. Do not lock the vehicle from the outside when there is someone inside it.
