On the 2nd of October 2023 Global ESG Awards held an awards night to recognize those who have contributed significantly to attainment of SDGs. Winners are recognized in 20 categories aligned with the 17 UNSDGs.

Abu Dhabi Ports Group received a Gold award for Safeguarding Marine Biodiversity. AD Ports Group has been conserving the Ras Ghanada Coral Reef and has been working on marine debris removal by commissioning trash collection vessels within its water limits. These vessels are equipped with advanced and modern technology to skim through the seawater, collecting all floating waste on the go.

Platinum award for Terrestrial Biodiversity Conservation and/or Afforestation Initiatives.
AD Ports Group is working on conservation of spiny tailed lizard in KEZAD area through monitoring and relocation process . The program involves tagging and real-time monitoring of these lizards to find the best practices to relocate them to a suitable habitat.
