The first step was to shower very well the leca from the red dust, untill the water comes out clear. In a bucket of tap water, which already contains calcium, I added about 50 ppm of Magnezium Sulfate, or epsom salts, and I dropped the pH to 4.5 using a pH down sollution. The leca beads need to soak for 5 days, after which the pH will be stabile, and it won't raise anymore. Use the leca when is wet.
