Take a visual ride through the life of Detroit's famous train station, designed by the same people that designed Grand Central Station in NY this was the tallest train station in the world when it was built in 1913. Abandoned for over 30 years it stood as the symbol of the downfall of Detroit, now thanks to Bill Ford and Ford Motor Company has been saved, restored, and now stands as an unbelievable symbol of how strong and resilient the great city of Detroit is.

Abandoned buildings like this don't get saved. The condition of disrepair this building had and the sure magnitude of restoration just doesn't get tackled.

Also in this video are clips from movies that used the building because they needed a decrepit structure...Believe me, throughout Hollywood history if you've seen an abandoned deteriorating building used in a film you can pretty much guarantee that building was never saved...The fact that this massive structure was saved is something to be very Very proud of.
