Home to over three hundred thousand people, the Dadaab Refugee Camp in Northern Kenya is the largest in the world. But now it’s shutting down. The Kenyan government has drawn up a solid timetable for the closure, something that the Foreign Ministry says is driven by economic and security realities. But this prompted the UN refugee agency UNHCR to voice concern over the move and call for reconsideration, while Kenya hit back claiming that international support for the camp has always been dismal. Peninah Karibe & her panel of experts delve into the hot-button issue of refugee repatriation in this episode of Talk Africa.
