A multi-state E coli outbreak associated with romaine lettuce in sandwiches from Wendy's has grown, with dozens more infections reported in the past week, according to federal health officials.

The E coli outbreak linked to Wendy’s Co. restaurants in the Midwest expanded to sicken an additional 47 people this week, and 38 people have been hospitalized, the CDC said Thursday
