We think it’s safe to say that we’ve all gone through a phase in life where we weren't into eating fruits and vegetables. Looking back, we can definitely remember a time when broccoli and asparagus had a pretty bitter, and slimy feel to them. It wasn’t uncommon to just push them off of our plate and onto the floor so that the family dog could wolf them down. And we’d be able to get ice cream as a reward for completely finishing dinner! But here’s the thing, what would happen if you just STUCK with that gut instinct? And NEVER ate your fruits and vegetables? Sure, we’ve heard an apple a day keeps the doctor away, but, why is this? Does it really keep the doctor away? What are the side effects of a diet without you fruits and veggies? Are there really that many pluses if you DO eat them?
