Currently trending is Patrick Doyle's reconciliation with his wife - Ireti. Here's my opinion on this: "Love is sweet, however, like a rose, it's got thorns which bring pain. Sometimes, people fall in love at first sight; oftentimes, they fall in love as time goes by. Neither is greater than the other; what counts is the effort and willingness BY BOTH PARTIES to make things work.
A year ago, tongues wagged about this popular Nollywood couple; today, those tongues lash at Tonto Dikeh and Linda Ikeji; tomorrow, one wonders who's next.
Just as separation doesn't necessarily lead to divorce, it's equally important to note that divorce is often as a result of separation - emotionally and/or physically.
I often recommend giving several chances; I also support knowing when to draw the line. Marriage is not a do or die affair, besides, you don't help a guy grow - from a boy into a man - by condoning foolishness; it's important to encourage him, in positive areas,, while supporting his improvement in negative areas - instead of nagging and bottling up.
Separation is healthy - for the right purposes. Remember, "absence makes the heart grow fonder." It's important though to fight, with all your might, for your relationship/marriage, yet know when to say goodbye - temporarily or permanently."
