There are three main ways to mount or climb a slackline without using the ground.
1) Jumping
2) Rolling perpendicular to the line (shin up roll) and
3) Rolling parallel to the line.
There are many variations to the parallel to the line method of climbing the line. On this video we address the Koala Roll. It is a momentumless mount similar to a mantle or a muscle up.
