Water ring plastic pelletizing line for PE/PP plastic films recycling
Water ring plastic pelletizing line is a type of equipment used in the plastic recycling industry to convert plastic film,scraps, flakes or granules into small pellets. This video shows a double stage water ring plastic pelletizing line for recycling waste PE films.
How the water ring plastic pelletizing line typically works:
1,belt conveyor: plastic films are transported by this unit to pelletizer, metal dector is optional unit for detecting the possible metal and separation.
2,compactor: it’s for forced cutting the plastic films and shrink the machines to be agglomerated for easy feeding to extruder.
3, Extruder: It’s single screw extruder for melting and homogenizing the plastic films under heat and pressure. The extruder consists of a screw that pushes the molten plastic forward through the hydraulic screen changer and a perforated plate die.
For single stage plastic pelletizing line, one main extruder is used only.
For double stage plastic pelletizing line, a mother extruder and a baby extruder are required.
4, hydraulic screen changer: the plate type hydraulic screen changer is used mostly to filter out the impurties from the plastic, to improving the plastic purity for high quality.
Column type screw changer is optional.
5, Pellet cutter: Once the plastic is molten and homogenized, it is forced through the water ring pelletizing die, and the rotating blades cut the extruded plastic strands into small round pellets on the die face, then the water cools the pellets and helps solidify them, flush the pellets to next machine at the same time.
6, optional 1: dehydrator+vibration sieve+storage: After being cut, the pellets are flushed into the dehydrator for dewatering process, then a vibration sieve is used to classify the pellets with different sizes, the qualified pellets are sent to storage tank by cyclone system, the other pellets can be put back to the extruder for reproduction.
7, optional 2: vibration sieve+centrifugal blower+storage: vibration sieve connect to pellet cutter directly for pellet classification and vibrating off most water from the pellets, ten centrifugal blower blows off part of water continuously and send the pellets into storage silo or tanks. Finally, the pellets are packaged for sale or further processing.
8, centralized control system: It’s for control the working of the whole water ring plastic pelletizing line, PID or PLC system are available for your choice.
Water ring plastic pelletizing lines are commonly used for materials like polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and other thermoplastics, especially for the PE films and flakes, water ring plastic pelletizing line is the most ideal pelletizer machine.
