There has been some rather widespread speculation about the IPCC Ar5 draft placeholder figure 1.4, where observed temperatures are compared to climate models.
The draft graph apparently contained a misleading error which has been now corrected in a newer version.
Unfortunately, the old placehgolder image, which was clearly marked as a placeholder and not for publication, was "leaked" and it got wide publicity in the so called "denialist echo chamber". Many claimed it proved that the climate models are bad.
Here's my take on what happened with the graphs. It seems that the models are quite good after all.
