Interesting to find this one out in the daytime.
Please don't kill slugs or snails, they are a crucial part of a healthy wildlife habitat
An omnivorous species, this slug eats carrion and poop as well as vegetable matter lrotting eaves and so on. It rarely does much harm in the garden. Mostly nocturnal, they have been known to feed on freshly cut damp grass in the day.
Clusters of their pearly-white round eggs, about 5 mm in diameter, are often dug up in the garden and compost heaps, just leave them be, but hopefully you are a no dig organic gardener so this should never happen.
