I walked into Lake Daniell in mid May along the Lake Daniell Track in Lewis Pass National Reserve.

The track to the hut starts at the Marble Hill campsite five kilometers outside of Springs Junction. From here you follow a lovely and easy to walk track through old growth Beech forest to the hut next to Lake Daniell. I spent the night at Manson-Nichols Hut at Lake Daniell, Lewis Pass National Reserve before walking back out to my car the next morning.

This tramp is one of my Winter 2022 Series the first trip in this series each year is always to Manson-Nichols Hut.
