The Justice for Carolina Action Group is calling for the Director of Public Prosecutions to resign, or if he does not do so, for an independent inquiry to consider his removal following his handling of the Real Lishman Case.
Real Lishman stabbed his wife to death in 2017. His sentence for manslaughter was recently reduced to four years in prison following an appeal.
The Group presented a petition signed by five thousand people to the Chief Minister, the Governor, and the Attorney General, calling for an independent public inquiry into the Director of Public Prosecution's handling of the Lishman case.
