Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot may have done a faux pas while attacking the BJP for the rebellion by a section of Congress MLAs in Rajasthan in 2020. Gehlot said that MLAs were paid huge sums of money, adding that if such sums are involved, an MLA could be bought. He said that he had asked the MLAs who had revolted to return the money to Amit Shah, and promised to return the portion of the money that they had already spent from the Congress party coffers. The BJP has hit out at Gehlot, saying the money he says will return has been generated by looting the people of Rajasthan.
