IN THIS VIDEO WE CUT THE OLD FRAME. I MAKE MY SPLICE JOINT ON THE TRUCK. THEN BEGIN TO PREPARE THE DONOR FRAME. THAT IS WHEN THINGS GO SOUTH FAST. THE FRAME THE OWNER SUPPLIED WAS BENT AND TWISTED. I COULDNT USE IT. HE SORUCED 2 OTHER FRAMES. I PICKED THEM UP AND FOUND BOTH OF THEM ENDED UP BEING NOT SUITABLE AS WELL. THE 4TH ONE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE BUT WAS HANDLED POORLY BY THE SALVAGE YARD AND WAS BENT AS WELL. I SPENT IN TOTAL ALMOST 2 WEEKS MESSING AROUND LOOKING AT FRAMES. I ENDED UP TAKING ONE OF MY TRUCKS APART THAT HAD THE EXACT FRAME THAT MATCHED THE PETERBILT'S DIMEMSIONS, ONLY THICKER. OF COURSE IT WAS A COMPLETE TRUCK. SO IT HAD TO BE TORN DOWN. I USED THE HTP MICROCUT 45DV PLASMA TO CUT THE FRAME AND THE MAKE LEGS FOR THE FRONT CUT OFF TO SIT ON. THIS HAS BEEN A VERY FRUSTRATING COUPKE OF WEEKS.
