Is Earth populated by extra terrestrial animals, and is the OCTOPUS one of them? In conjunction with the the squid and cuttlefish, it appears that certain intelligent cephalopods, (i.e. the octopus) have the ability to edit their own RNA. Though this trait is distinct in nature, it doesn’t necessarily imply that these animals, octopuses, are indeed extra terrestrial aliens? So is calamari outer space food?
The last three years this debate has really heated up. One of the main question being, could lineages of octopuses (intelligent cephalopods) have evolved quickly enough to adapt to it’s complex DNA, which contains 33,000 protein-binding genes? Funny enough, Humans only have 22,000 genres. So, not are octopuses more genetically complex than humans, based on the recent RNA studies, they also may have evolved at a slower rate, restrictively giving octopuses less time to adapt to all of it’s unique features. Given that Octopuses and other intelligent cephalopods have a unique Earth (or alien planet) adaptation of being able to code their own RNA as a reaction to certain environmental unwanted changes and pressures to the creature, they don’t seem to have enough time in the evolution scale to have adapted to all their unique features, at least according to some scientists. Such features include nine brains, three hearts, blue blood, and an intelligent task-solving mind.
Despite all the recent studies on Panspermia, the concept that comets or asteroids may be the source of seeding LIFE on planet Earth. The idea that octopuses could be Aliens from a different world doesn’t seem to sit well with some scientist, including virualist Karin Moelling. She believes this space-origin theory, Panspermia to be just too out-there to be “taken serious”. In addition to going over her reasons for not believing in the Extra Terrestrial hypothesis, we also analyze Carl Sagan’s famous quote, “extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.” Is this a fallacy, or a truism?
