Ruiru Member of Parliament Simon King'ara now wants the National Government Constituencies Development Fund increased to cope with the rising population and cost of living. Speaking Ruiru when he disbursed bursary worth 75 million shillings to over 21,000 secondary school, college, and university students, King’ara at the same time said the CDF allocations should be based on the population. The MP lamented that his constituency which has a population of over 700,000 residents and 100,000 learners in various institution was receiving the same amount of bursary allocation as constituencies that have less population.
