If you need to get tested for COVID-19, put aside some extra time. You can expect to see long lines at many walk-up test sites across Tampa Bay.
When the site at Palm River Park opened a few weeks ago to deal with the dramatic spike in cases because of the delta variant, they expected to see 500 people a day to show up. Now, on average, 1,600 a day are coming in to be tested.
