Introduction to a three part series (not including this intro) on rendering drum VST plugins into wav sounds and then converting those wavs to multi-sample instrument files for the Alesis Strike Pro module. In this video I explain the goals and overall motivation for my undertaking of this project, and then I show some demos of VSTs I've converted running on my module.
All demos are recorded with the Main L/R outputs from the Alesis Strike Pro SE module into my MOTU 4pre's Guitar 1/2 line inputs using balanced cables. Reaper then records this sound unprocessed. NO VSTs were running at the time of recording.
Video for the demos captured with my iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 7. Audio from these phones was discarded.

In part 1, we will talk about using the SDSE tool from Lustark software to render ANY VST drum plugin into multi-velocity samples. In part 2, using Goldwave to trim and add fade outs will be discussed. And in the final video, I'll show using the Strike Pro Editor desktop application to convert the samples into Alesis instrument (.sin) files, which get loaded directly on the module.
