It's Christmas Eve in 19th century London, but mean money-lender Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine) refuses to join in the celebrations. Unfortunate book-keeper Bob Cratchit (Kermit the Frog) even has to plead for time off on Christmas Day. But later that night, Scrooge has a surprise as he's visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, who teach him the error of his greedy ways. Charles Dickens' festive classic is one of the best-loved - and frequently filmed - Christmas stories. The Muppets' unique musical-comedy version, with the Great Gonzo as Dickens himself, is the jolliest adaptation ever made. Michael Caine plays it deliciously straight as the monstrous Scrooge, surrounded by the brilliant creations of Jim Henson's Creature Shop. Originally released in 1992, this Muppet masterpiece is now back on screen to delight a new generation.
