So DJI finally released the new waypoints aka Waypoints 2.0 for the Mavic 2! I've been waiting for this intelligent flight mode for the longest time and I'm so excited to test it out and show it to you all!
To get this enabled you will need to update the DJI Go4 App to the latest version, download the latest firmware and update the remote controller as well as all your available batteries. The waypoints feature will show up when you click the remote controller icon on the left hand side. Once you've entered this intelligent flight mode it will prompt you for a quick tutorial interface and you will access the map to plot your waypoints.
My first impressions are the waypoint feature kinda resembles the Litchi app but with a DJI twist in it. You can place a point of interest section to make sure the Mavic 2 is facing that particular area without having the need to manually change the direction of where you are going, plenty of options to customise such as the altitude height, gimbal pitch, flight speed etc..
So far I'm pretty comfortable using this although I may need to invest on a bigger screen as my old iPhone is quite small and challenging to plot the waypoints (sometimes I accidentally place to many because I can't edit the ones when I pressed on it!)
I will be conducting more test and play around with this new waypoints 2.0 feature so stay tuned!
