1959 (A very young Shirley Bassey recorded these two upbeat/big-band jazzy tracks in the late 1950's and they were released on her 1959 LP titled, 'Bewitching Miss Bassey. Crazy Rhythm was recorded in 1959 as a Philips Single and was included on this LP. The recording From This Moment On was recorded specifically for the Bewitching Miss Bassey LP. The included video clips show Shirley showing off some minor dance moves on her TV Show in 1976. For those of you who may not be aware, Shirley started in show business back in 1953 as a chorus girl, but soon after music producers became aware of her vocal abilities. It wasn't very long before she hung up her dance shows for good. In 2013, Dame Shirley will celebrate 60 years in the business, and counting!
ABOUT the LP, 'The Bewitching Miss Bassey:
The Bewitching Miss Bassey is a studio album from Shirley Bassey. Consisting of new and previously released material this was the first album from Bassey to be issued on the 12" Long-playing record format. Tracks were taken from sessions recorded between 1956 and early 1959. All the songs were recorded in the UK with Wally Stott and his Orchestra, with production by Johnny Franz. The only exception was "The Wall" which was recorded in New York with Jimmy Carroll and his orchestra and produced by Mitch Miller. Featuring Bassey's first five hit songs, including Bassey's 1958 number one single "As I Love You" and the huge hit "Kiss Me, Honey, Honey, Kiss Me". The album showcases the best of the early career of Shirley Bassey. All the songs were only recorded in mono, no stereo versions are known to exist. In the 1970s Philips did re-issue them in an "electronically enhanced" stereo (also known as "pseudo-stereo"). The album was re-issued in the US on the Epic label with different artwork. To date (October 2009) there has been no complete CD re-issue of the album, it remains the only UK released album from Bassey not to have had a CD release. Philips did re-issue several tracks on compilations in the 1990s, and several more have been released since the material fell under public domain laws.

LYRICS - Crazy Rhythm:
Crazy rhythm, here's the doorway
I'll go my way, you'll go your way
Crazy rhythm, from now on, we're through
Here is where we have a showdown
I'm too high and you're too low down
Crazy rhythm, here's goodbye to you
They say that when a high brow meets a low brow
Walking along Broadway
Soon the high brow, he has no brow
Ain't it a shame and you're to blame
[ Lyrics from: [ Ссылка ] ]
What's the use of our mission
You produce the same condition
Crazy rhythm, I've gone crazy too
They say that when a high brow meets a low brow
Walking along Broadway
Soon the high brow, he has no brow
Ain't it a shame and you're to blame
What's the use of prohibition
You produce the same condition
Crazy rhythm, I've gone crazy too
Crazy rhythm, I've gone crazy too
Crazy rhythm, I've gone crazy too

LYRICS - From This Moment On:
From this moment on,
You for me dear,
Only two for tea dear,
From this moment on,
From this happy day,
No more blue songs,
Only hoop-de-doo songs,
From this moment on
You've got the love I need so much
Got the skin I love to touch
Got the arms to hold me tight
Got the sweet lips to kiss me goodnight
From this moment on
You and I babe
We'll be ridin' high babe
Every care is gone
From this moment on.
(Musical Break)
You've got the love I need so much
Got the skin I love to touch
Got the arms to hold me tight
Got the sweet lips to kiss me goodnight
From this moment on
You and I babe
We'll be ridin' high babe
Every care is gone
From this moment,
From this moment,
This very moment,
This moment on.
