If your cruise isn't working try replacing the brake light switch on the break pedal....
Besides it being in a somewhat inconvenient place, it should be a relatively simple fix. Make sure to slide over the light blue brake switch arm at the end of the video, sometimes people mess that part up somehow. The arm will pull off horizontally from the orange arm in the vid, allowing for removal of old and install of new switch.
If it's at all dark I'd suggest an extra light source to help see the connections better. Light doesn't get up under the dash easily -a magnetic light helped me.
Also, it may be worth double checking the wires at the brake switch connection. Sometimes one of them is broken on the truck side right before the connector.
