#A_Special_Episode_On_Turabdin

Tur Abdin, known as the "#Monutain_of_Servants"(of God) is a mountainous region situated between the two rivers (the Tigris and Euphrates) north-east of the city of Mardin. It is of medium ele-vation and contains many villages. The Mountain of Tur Abdin is intermediate between the cities of Jazirat ibn Umar, Mardin, Nisibin, Amid (Diyarbakr) and Se'ert. The region of Tur Abdin is very beautiful and its air is salubrious.

The most unique and important factors about TurAbdin are the #cultural_heritages, which has influenced our Holy Church, even in the case of liturgy. These unique heritages have been passed on to different geographical areas all around the world. The ethnicity of TurAbdin can be observed in any part of the world, were Syriac Christians live. Even in malankara, many of the traditions which formed in TurAbdin can be observed as a part of the liturgics.

TurAbdin, is a #monastic_hub for Syriac Christians, alot of saints whom we venerate are from this land of rich heritage. The celebrations in TurAbdin is something which we should explore because of the unique nature of the Syriac community. Even the uniqueness of the food is something which has to be explored, and it really has a part in the celebrations of the Syriac community.

TurAbdin is an inevitable part, when we study about the monasteries of The Syriac Orthodox Church, the monasteries and monks we have is our prime riches in this land of the people of servants of God
The persecutions our brethrens in TurAbdin had to face was one of the huge sign of their deep faith. Let's remember all the Martyrs of this holy Land, May their intercession be a stronghold for us!
