Sistema auditivo e vestibular - AUDIÇÃO E EQUILÍBRIO
Depois de falar sobre o sistema visual, vamos falar um pouco sobre dois sistemas cujos receptores sensoriais ficam localizados no ouvido: o sistema auditivo e o sistema vestibular. Enquanto o sistema auditivo é responsável por gerar sensações sonoras, o sistema vestibular é responsável por sensações que informam a posição da cabeça e sua orientação no espaço, bem como o seu movimento, funções sensoriais muito importantes para funções motoras como estabilização do olhar e manutenção postural da cabeça e do corpo, o que nos permite manter o equilíbrio em diferentes posturas.
