In Imphal, IGP (Intelligence) K Kabib briefed the media on recent protests that escalated from peaceful demonstrations to violence. Firearms were used at Kakwa, and petrol bombs were thrown at Khwairamband Bazar, resulting in injuries to over ten policemen. IGP Kabib highlighted the involvement of outside instigators and the need for vigilance against fake news, with internet services suspended until September 15.
