Our area will be at a higher than usual risk of severe storms with a line of rain Wednesday evening.
We'll be at a higher than usual severe risk once again for the possibility of damaging winds and a few tornadoes. Most of our area will be at a level 3 of 5 'enhanced' risk, but spots farther north toward Mississippi will be at an even higher level 4 of 5 'moderate' risk.
With a potent system like this, it's a good idea to keep your phone charged and know where your safe spot is in case a tornado warning is issued (an interior room on the lowest floor away from doors and windows is best).
The line will move quickly and will leave us likely before midnight. We'll dry out and turn a little cooler on Thursday and Friday.
