Iranian music master Kayhan Kalhor was honored at this year's Grammys as a member of the international group Silk Road Ensemble. Kalhor, a virtuoso kamancheh player, is also rather outspoken. He believes that culture should not be held hostage to politics. Until that changes, he has vowed to be selective about who he performs for in Iran. For him, music is for the people.
