Welcome back as we continue to look at the career of the great Ron Francis! Well his time in Hartford is up after a storied departure due to conflicts with coach Rick Ley, and unable to negotiate a new deal with Eddie Johnston, he went to Pittsburgh late in 1990-91, and got himself a Stanley Cup after years of playoff failures in Hartford.
He proved to be the final ingredient for a star studded Pens team. But will he thrive going forward? Once the big fish in a small pond, he's now swimming with sharks despite still being a big fish, he was in a much larger body of water, ruled by the big shark, known as Mario Lemieux.
