On June 22nd a patent was published that reveals the secrets of the new Tesla 4680 cells. This process, which until now was the secret of the new Elon Musk battery cells, shows how they reduce investment by 86% and plant surface area by 75%. It is a revolution, cheaper batteries and with greater autonomy.

During battery day, Elon Musk and Drew Baglino talked for less than a minute about one of the most important processes for the manufacture of batteries: the formation of their cells. The new patent published a few days ago reveals how they have interrupted this process, which is responsible for 25% of the factory's investment.

They achieve this thanks to three strategies:
-Reduction of materials: fewer cables
-Reduction of space: cells and all their systems are much more compact
-More efficiency: reduction of air conditioning and necessary energy
