Today Premier Dennis King, Dr. Heather Morrison and Chief of Nursing Marian Dowling provided updates on #PEICOVID19 and the continuing process to #RenewPEITogether.
A few highlights:
Phase 2 of Renew PEI begins May 22, and if all goes well, Phase 3 could begin earlier than planned (as early as June 1).
Health PEI has been able to increase visitation in some areas:
Up to two designated visitors will be allowed for patients in Palliative Care, Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Obstetrics and Pediatric Care.
Two visitors will be permitted per day, for patients who are at the end of their life. The patients can also now name up to 6 people who can rotate visits on a daily basis. This means that different people can now visit on different days.
