The American soprano, Karen Huffstodt , debuted with Opera Australia in 1987 as Ameila in a revival of Verdi's I MASNADIERI. He onstage colleagues included British tenor, Kenneth Collins, Australia baritone, Robert Allman with Polish conductor Vladimr Kamirski on the podium. This footage, from an anonymous audience member, captures Amelia's aria and cabaletta from the opening of Act II. - "Tu del mio Carlo al seno volasti .... Carlo vive? O caro accento, melodia di paradiso!" in February 1987 and the Sydney Opera House. The Arminio in this performance is the Shanghai-born tenor Sergei Baigildin.
