Thomas L. Friedman, author of “The World is Flat”, discussed globalization and its new challenges and the importance of trust and shared values in China-US relations during his conversation with CCG.

Further, he shared his views on initiating dialogues and international cooperation on dealing with climate change and the pandemic. He suggests that the world is not just flat, it is also fast, fused, deep and open. Under these circumstances, there is only one way to govern it effectively on the national and international level: complex adaptive coalitions, which will allow states to work together, cushion any sudden changes and tackle new challenges.
