Khantoli is a traditional konkani sweet made of rice. It's made in almost every Konkani and Goan home especially during the month of Shravan - the month full of festivals and strictly vegetarian food. But Khantoli is never sold in sweet shops, not for any specific reason though. One has to prepare it to taste it.
I've tried here the traditional method I learned. it's little different from the popular recipe. The touch of turmeric leaves gives a mild aroma to the sweetness of rice.
