This is a great modern take on the dreadnought by Santa Cruz Guitar Company. While this body size has always been known for its power and bass response, but has rarely been called balanced. Santa Cruz set out to change that, specifically designing their bracing to enhance treble and mids while still maintaining the bass response players rely on.

This Custom D offers incredible volume and power, with clear trebles and deep lows. When flatpicked, every note rings out with equal clarity, making it the perfect bluegrass companion, and the guitar responds very nicely to fingerstyle as well. This would be a great addition to any guitar collection, and brings innovation to a body size that hasn’t seen a lot of updating in its century-long history.
