On October 23, 2018, Columbia Business School’s W. Edwards Deming Center for Quality, Productivity, and Competitiveness honored Juan Ramón Alaix, CEO of Zoetis, and Douglas M. Baker, Jr., Chairman and CEO of Ecolab, with the 2018 Deming Cup for Operational Excellence. The School also bestowed the Lifetime Achievement Award in Leadership posthumously to Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.
