Here is how Dr. Cameron Rokhsar (NYC) treats a spider angioma with the Vbeam laser. Spider angiomas are small red lesion on the skin caused by a dilation of small blood vessels near the surface of the skin. Many people do not like the the appearance of this lesion on their skin, and the best method of removal is the Vbeam laser. The Vbeam laser is a laser that selectively targets hemoglobin in red blood cells, heating the blood vessels up and permanently reducing the appearance of the blood vessel on the skin. In this quick 5 minute procedure, Dr. Rokhsar will have the patient wear metal goggles to protect their eyes from the laser, and then he will treat the lesion with the laser. The lesion will turn purple, and disappear within 2 weeks. Typically spider angiomas only require 1 session.
Dr. Cameron Rokhsar a double board certified in dermatology and dermatologic surgery. Dr. Rokhsar is an associate professor at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City (NYC), where he teaches dermatology residents cosmetic dermatology and laser surgery. People from all over the country fly over to New York City (NYC) to get treated by Dr. Rokhsar and his advanced laser techniques.
