Echelon welcomes you to the strength materials lab! In this laboratory, we conduct various tests and experiments to evaluate the mechanical properties and strength of different materials. Our primary focus is on understanding how materials behave under various loading conditions. 1.Tensile Testing: Tensile tests determine a material's response to stretching forces. A sample is subjected to axial tension until it fractures, allowing us to measure properties like ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation.

2.Compression Testing: Compression tests involve applying compressive forces to a material to understand its ability to withstand squeezing or crushing loads.

3.Flexural Testing: Flexural tests evaluate a material's resistance to bending forces, providing insights into its flexural strength and modulus of elasticity.

4.Impact Testing: Impact tests measure a material's ability to absorb energy under dynamic loading conditions, often using methods like Charpy or Izod tests.
