This was my first training session with this famous rubber. I have tried the soft version (1.5 mm) about 30 minutes a few months ago, that bottoned out far too easy. This is the original version in 1.5 mm and it also bottons out against hard attacks where I block back with some force. The ball goes straight forward with i big sound and if the blade angle is not correct then, you may hurt your opponent :) (and most likely miss the table).
I trained with this setup about 90 minutes before this recording and even though I make many mistakes I must say it was more easy to learn to handle at a.reasonable level than most other obscure rubbers I have tried for my BH the last couple of years. Or, this rubber fits the Le Géant very good? Too bad I have not tried it on any other blade (and I do not plan to do that any time soon).
My different opponets had different problems with this rubber (me too), but most of them had problems when I served with sidespin, got a push back that I rolled over with Killer to the cross over point. The ball cerves and it is difficult to read or guess the amount of spin. Also, most opponents had troubles when I hit rather hard and flat with it, since the ball carries no spin at all. Another great thing is to serve half long back spin, make the opponent loop that back to middle of the table and just black that ball to body or BH. The spin and arc on that ball is really tricky, and the spin depends on opponnets spin and how hard you hit the ball. You can also block that ball very light, just brush it, and it will be short and slow, perhaps with some spin left in it - no idea what spin though :) . I am looking forward to try this setup more and perhaps try the Killer Pro-version later.
