What can students expect of the "Natolin experience" according to Professor Andrew Michta?
Andrew A. Michta is a Senior Fellow and Director of the Scowcroft Strategy Initiative in the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security in Washington, DC. He holds a PhD in international relations from Johns Hopkins University. His areas of expertise are international security, NATO, and European politics and security, with a special focus on Central Europe and the Baltic states.
Previously he was Dean of the College of International and Security Studies at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch, Germany, Professor of National Security Affairs at the US Naval War College, an adjunct fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies’ Europe Program, and an affiliate of the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University. From 2011 to 2013, he was a senior transatlantic fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the founding director of the organization’s Warsaw office.
His most recent book with Paal Hilde, The Future of NATO: Regional Defense and Global Security, was published by the University of Michigan Press in 2014.
