Benchasiri Park is one of the top 3 parks in the city centre of Bangkok next to the Phrom Phong BTS station. It's easy to reach by public transport. It's one of the must Visit Parks in the city together with lumpini and Benjakitti.
People use the park mostly in the early morning or in the evening to hide from the sun.
Built on 11.6 acres (47,000 m2) next door to the Emporium shopping complex, it serves to commemorate the fifth cycle (sixtieth) birthday anniversary of Queen Sirikit on 12 August 1992.
