I'm excited to share my experience at the 2023 Creativity in Education Summit, hosted by the OECD Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) and the Global Institute of Creative Thinking (GIoCT). The summit is focused on the latest trends, approaches, and promising practices in creative and critical thinking in schools.
The first day was full of inspiring conversations, innovative ideas and actions to transform education in the age of Artificial Intelligence. I learned a lot from all the speakers, but some of them really resonated with me, such as Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General of the International Baccalaureate (IB); Shi Zhongying, Dean of the Institute of Education, TsingHua University, People's Republic of China; Laura McBain, Stanford University, United States; Laura di Pizzo, Institute Ayrton Senna, Brazil, and Hillary Cremin, Head of the Faculty of Education, Cambridge University, United Kingdom. They reminded me of my primary research interest, peace studies background and my natural inclination to a more indigenous approach to knowledge based approach to policies.
I'm very thankful for platforms like this one provided by #OECD to exchange sometimes controversial or disruptive ideas among educators and stakeholders.
I can't wait for today's discussion.
