The first of a multi-part series detailing my first fly fishing trip to the Bob Marshall Wilderness to fish the South Fork of the Flathead River. The first two days were the pack into Independence Camp and then Big Prairie on horses and mules (though we got to do a bit of fishing), the second day (Day 3) was a layover at Big Prairie. Day 4 we floated from Big Prairie to Holbrook. Day 5 we floated from Holbrook to Salmon Forks. Day 6 we floated from Salmon Forks to Independence. Day 7 we floated from Independence to the takeout. This video shows Days 0 through 2 (arrival in Montana and the two days riding in) and what someone doing a trip like this can expect. I hope you enjoy it.
