Introduction:
The Makra is a scenic peak in the Mansehra District in the Hazara region of the Himalayas in northern Pakistan. It is 3,885 meters (12,746 ft) high and almost 200 kilometers (120 mi) from Islamabad on Naran Road.
From Kiwai, a 7-kilometer-long road runs uphill to Shogran, a tourist resort with numerous hotels; the track continues to climb up to Siri Lake and ends at Paye.
From here it is a trek of 4 to 5 hours to the top of the Makra.

We started our journey from Islamabad in our own car. Its costs you the fuel & tool tax to reach Kiwai.

Day 1: Upon reaching Kiwai, we took a jeep & reach Paye Medows & We stayed at tents arranged by locals. It was extremely beautiful. The tents were clean and the food was delicious.

Day 2: We left Paye & Started our tracking towards Makra Peak. After 1 hour 20 mins (Depending upon experience & Stamina Level) we reach our first destination which was "Base camp of Makra"

We take some rest around 20 mins at Base Camp & on the same day we left for Makra Peak. It takes almost 2.5 to 3 hours to reach the beautiful Makra Peak. The weather was extremely cold & we stayed a maximum of 1 hour at the Peak.

Then we get back to Paye & Left for Islamabad.
