1. Use chapter select and start a Chapter 9 file, play normally until you unlock Umbra, and use Umbra to "return to past Lucis"

2. Level your Chocobo to lvl 7 and park the Regalia at the Cape Caem parking spot. Ride the elevator/lift to the 2F, top of the lighthouse, then open your menu and select "return to car"

From here call your chocobo and jump on the rock in front of the lighthouse entrance, and jump toward the lighthouse left of the entrance, try to land in the corner area. Face the wall and sprint jump to reach the top and position yourself to fall down the shaft facing the sea. Jump down (do not glide) if successful you will be able to jump on the boxes to get on the tent and from there you can jump into the sea. You are officially OOB.

3. Swim back to Altissia. Its important to use the entrance to use the entrance to Altissia (the area surrounding Altissia often has no collision. use your map and enter from the south like the royal vessel would)

Swim to a Gondola and use the stairs to exit the water. Standing close to a Gondola, open your menu and select "call car". Swim back to land and open your menu again. Select "return to rest point" to return to Lucis for a meal buff. Camp and prepare a meal with "Last Stand" this is to help you fall in battle. (if you have a level 1 file you can skip the meal buff) With the last stand buff active open your menu and select "return to car" to be sent back to Altissia.

4. Make sure Prompto has Piercer set as his tech then progress normally and start the fight with leviathan. Win the first round so Armiger activates. Let Leviathan hit you untill you get a Gameover screen. Select "RESTART FROM CHECKPOINT"

5. Now with a full party use Promptos Piercer tech....sometimes you have to follow up to get oob and sometimes using the tech will allow Leviathan to push noct oob. Keep trying and you will free yourself from the battle.
