This webinar is for teachers and educators who are making online learning materials. I take you through some of the cognitive theory behind Mayer's 12 Principles of Multimedia Learning. I categorise the 12 principles into three groups (after Mayer 2009): principles that account for Extraneous Load, Intrinsic Load, and Germane Load.
