“Imperial Russian Ballet” was founded in 1994.
The idea of creating the “Imperial Russian Ballet” company was born during the Maya Plisetskaya anniversary concerts in Japan, whose brilliant program was designed and organized by Gediminas Taranda – the founder and Artistic Director of the Imperial Russian Ballet. Maija Plisetzkaya became Honorable President of the Imperial Russian Ballet.

The artists of IRB graduated from the best ballet schools of Russia:
• The Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Moscow, Russia;
• Vaganova Ballet Academy, Saint-Petersburg, Russia;
• Perm State Ballet School, Perm, Russia.

Since 1994 Imperial Russian Ballet performed in 41 countries such as:
Russia, Japan, Spain, Austria, Finland, Portugal, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Estonia, Canada, Israel, China, Greece, Slovenia, Croatia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Belarus, USA, Lebanon, Cyprus, Arab Emirates, Malta, Tunisia, Turkey, Thailand, Singapore, Mexico, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
